RECOMMENDED Not as well known as some of the major manufacturers in our test, but InPhase performed very well, with the IPS720i instantly giving superb iPod control. It also had a front USB and 3.5mm socket, as on the pricier Alpine. Easy installation and a solid feel ensured it kept punching above its weight. It couldn’t challenge the Sony’s looks, but that price saw it claim second.
