Had it not been for the smears on the touchscreen and the high price, this Alpine would have scored higher. iPod control is a breeze thanks to the Quick Search function. You also get everything from Bluetooth to a 3.5mm socket for non-Apple players, but at this price we’d expect a CD player. Plus, while the beep for pressing buttons was reassuring, it became irritating.
