If money is tight, seek out this sub-£100 Sealey, which comes with a good array of accessories.

There’s a choice of lances, plus a pretty effective rotating brush, albeit with no on-board storage.

But you do get hooks for the power lead and the decent six-metre hose, plus a lance-mounted soap bottle, which foams well. It does a good job of cleaning, too, and is our budget choice.
