Clarke CCD240

Cordless Drills tested

Price: £46.98 Battery/voltage: Ni-Cd/24V Number supplied: One

Clarke CCD240

Date: July 2010

  • Rating:

Six drivers and six bits came with the highest voltage drill we tried. Unique in having a full-length finger guard, the performance at high speeds was good, although it was noisy in the lower gear. At 2.6kg, the bulky Clarke could do with a handle, the casing was low rent and the charger was the same, needing up to five hours to top up. The cheapest two-speed drill on offer, if you don’t need refinement.
