Although looking almost identical to the Clarke vacuum vice and with the same specification, this was over twice the price – but it worked! After a few tries, the vacuum mechanism worked well and it stuck like glue while we performed the bolt/torque test, which it handled impressively. Despite the strain on the jaws, the twisting force didn’t affect the lead screw which retained its smooth action.
