One of the bigger two-tonne designs, the Halfords is ideal for slipping in the boot as the tough case has room for a few basic tools. Usefully, the jack fits in without the need to remove the carry handle. As with other non-quick lift models, it needs lots of pumps – nine to 20cm – although this didn’t require as much effort as on similar rivals.
