Keep passengers entertained on holiday journeys with
an in-car DVD player! Portable systems are much cheaper than built-in packages, which can cost thousands, and the latest units come with multiple headphone sockets, for occupants to share a screen, plus loudspeakers. Slots for USB memory sticks and SD cards are even included, so you can view holiday snaps while you’re away. But which is best? We hit the road with eight devices to find out.
There are two basic designs: single clamshell units and dual-screen set-ups. The latter go on the back of the front seat headrests, and most are master and slave units, with one film shown on both screens. Devices that could run different DVDs at the same time scored points. We rated build, screen and sound quality, and noted size and weight, plus whether units had USB or SD card slots. Extras such as headphones won marks. Price was our final factor.
Verdict
As in our Issue 1,092 test, Nextbase comes out on top – it’s well worth the price as it’s two separate units with clever mounts. Cheaper Logik is an excellent master and slave system, while the Alba is our favourite clamshell.

Definitely in car entertainment devices are good for the drivers and passengers on board, however I still think that too much comforts via these devices often than not leads to road accidents and high rate of abuse by especially the youth. So, let cautions and warning instructions accompany this set on entertainment device as well.
Thanks
