Now we come to some old-school pliers. The handles are hard plastic, making them challenging to use with anything but dry hands. They're actually more comfortable than you might imagine, though.

The free moving pivot does mean there's some unwanted play at the jaws' tips, but this is one of the largest tools on test, as well as being among the cheapest.
