Lock grip pliers

This tool comes with a smaller set of similar grips, and a long-nose version, which makes it great value. In our strength tests, it nearly matched our Recommended choice.

But it couldn't compete with the Laser's max jaw opening or length. The Franklin has a more usable width, though, and isbetter finished. A smooth adjuster is another plus.
