An extremely impressive kit. With no accessories fitted, you get a hot pencil flame. But this can be tamed, for use as a non-flame heat source, while three tips allow it to perform conventional soldering tasks. The torch wasn't as fierce as rivals, which meant slower progress in our splice and crimp tests, plus a longer warm-up. However, the Laser is still a worthy Recommended gas choice.
