This single box leads on price (even when you add the cost of an antenna), yet has plenty of features. It can play CDs encoded with both MP3 and WMA digital files, and comes with a 4x50W amp, which matches most rivals. The simple design has an external CD slot, which looks rather old-fashioned and means there's a smaller display. However, the JVC's DAB performance was brilliant, switching between station presets and all five ensembles with eye-catching speed. Our Best Buy in-car set-up.
