Neat sums up the DAB1000, as it comes ready to go with the supplied AA batteries or mains adaptor. But the aerial is combined with the headphones, so it has to be positioned carefully. Adaptor cables made it possible to link this to the JVC KD-G611, although for frequent use a way of holding the tuner would have to be found. Reception was reasonable over 18 stations, with only occasional crackling.
