Clear favourite in this test thanks to the simple interface and the user-friendly touch-screen. The auto day/night mode, which dimmed the display, also impressed. There's mapping for the UK, Ireland and main European roads, plus a full postcode search, although oddly no 3D mode. But the extra mapping and overall ease of use give it the edge over its nearest rivals. Our budget Best Buy
