Bigger is better for this Thule variation. But it does not simply rely on size for its appeal, as the Xtender also slides along the roof bar making loading skis and boards a breeze, and removing the need to clamber over the top. And you'll be grateful for that ease of use, as it accommodates up to six pairs of skis or four snowboards. In fact, the only gripe we have is that installation is slightly more tricky than with the other Thules.
