Persevere with the lacklustre instructions and you'll be rewarded with a basic but easy-to-use carrier. The Velo is certainly cheap and does the job with little fuss. It's important to measure the distance between your roof bars before you begin, but once constructed, this rack takes a matter of minutes to install and remove. The wheel runner is a good size and coped with the thick tread of our mountain bike's tyres, while the lockable frame clamp held the cycle firmly in position. Our Best Buy in the roof carrier category.
