Roof bars - Roof-rail fit

At first glance these ready-assembled alloy bars look as if they could simply be placed on the roof and tightened, but fitting proved rather more involved. The lock bolts for the clamps must be loosened first, but they're only accessible when the bars are upside down. And if your car has thick roof rails, the clamps need to be partially dismantled to fit. In its favour, a unique bolt and key provide security
