Belkin Tune FM

Price: £39.99 Charger?: Yes

This iPod-specific device is available for both standard and Nano sets. We liked the way it could be used via the car’s 12V socket, or as a cordless device taking the iPod’s power. It was well finished, and having four easily visible preset buttons made life much easier when swapping frequencies. At that price, though, it should have performed faultlessly – unfortunately, it was occasionally hit and miss.
