Power pack

If you can’t take the risk of being late, put a power pack in the boot. Essentially it is a small, relatively lightweight battery in a tough plastic case complete with booster cable leads. It‘s small, but it should pack enough punch to fire up your motor. Halfords’ offering won our last test, although the firm’s range has since been revamped. Expect to pay from around £70.
