Engine heater

For the ultimate cold comfort, check out the Eberspächer Hydronic heater. It uses the car’s diesel or petrol to heat the engine and cabin, so when you get in there’s no chilly shock and the glass is mist and ice-free. The system can be started by a timer or remotely from up to 75 metres away. Such luxury comes at a price, though, as the heater starts from about £1,000.
