Lubrication

With the bodywork protected, it’s time to look at the bits that need to move. Use graphite oil on door locks and grease on the hinges to prevent them drying out. Save a little to put on the battery terminals to stop corrosion. It is also a good idea to remove the wheels and put a smear of copper grease on the hub, as it stops them corroding and getting stuck to the car.
