Not only does the SMD kit look exactly the same as our Maplin Best Buy, it also produced a virtually identical performance as well. The main difference concerns specification; included in the large case is an extendable wheel wrench and two double-ended sockets. These are handy additions if you’re looking to loosen over-tightened nuts, although they won’t be quite as effective as an impact wrench. The trouble is, the extras don’t warrant the £20 difference in price, which leaves this kit looking rather expensive.
