A perforated synthetic chamois – and the smallest we tried, so it was lighter, far easier to use and especially handy in tricky areas around the grille or mirrors. The drawback was that it absorbed only 310ml and needed two wring-outs, while taking 2 mins 15 secs on our bonnet and roof.
