Love or loathe the wacky design, the S2 found the fixed traps, although there's only a warning beep and flashing blue light, rather than a read-out display or voice. Speeding brought up a flashing red light and higher beep level. It relied on laser to alert you to mobile sites, but this didn't work for us. And while the Halfords price makes it a good basic buy, we'd pay the £20 extra and go for the GPX.
