Longer, more spacious version of Ghost floats in to the Shanghai Show.

Rolls-Royce is extending its appeal! The British firm today unveiled its Ghost Extended Wheelbase at the Shanghai Motor Show.

The new model has been extended by 170mm to provide more than twice the knee room of the standard Ghost. With a total wheelbase of 3,465mm, it creates an interior that provides great space and luxury for four passengers. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, while new options include black stained ash wood with stainless steel pinstripes, contrast stitching, a coolbox including champagne flutes, a rear privacy telephone and Rolls-Royce logoed headrests.

Powered by Rolls-Royce’s 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, the Ghost Extended Wheelbase wafts from 0-62mph in five seconds and will cost from 5.118 million RMB (approximately £480,000) in China.

Rolls-Royce has also presented specially commissioned China Edition bespoke Ghost and Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection cars. The China Edition Ghost showcases Rolls-Royce’s vision for the Chinese market, featuring a red interior, gold twin-coachlines, gold-plated Spirit of Ecstasy and stainless steel pinstripes, and is available for select Chinese customers to order. Three new colours, silver and gold packages, coachlines and inlays have been developed for the Chinese market.

Two Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection cars specially commissioned for the Shanghai motor show have also been presented to celebrate 100 years of the Spirit of Ecstasy.
