Skoda has confirmed six new models for 2013, including the Octavia Estate

Skoda has confirmed it will be unveiling six new models in 2013, with this shot – posted on Skoda’s Facebook page – confirming the Rapid, Octavia hatch and Octavia Estate set to arrive first.

The three mystery models – due to arrive in August, October and December respectively – are thought to be the Octavia vRS and facelifted versions of the Superb and Yeti SUV.

We’ve already seen leaked pictures of the Octavia vRS, which will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 217bhp and a 2.0 TDI variant with 181bhp. Skoda is likely to give buyers the choice of hatchback or estate versions of the vRS.

When it comes to the Superb and Yeti, we’re expecting to see new engines, subtly updated styling and some improved technology, too, like blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.

I would be watching with interest what Skoda could do with the Yeti. Not much won't do. Its a talented car. But its dowdy looks limit its appeal to those who don't mind the looks anyway or like the car's tonka toy looks for some nostalgic reasons.
I would also be watching the emergence of the new Octavia VRS. Skoda has given us a fair idea of how it could look with the recently revealed standard Octavia but the VRS somehow manages to stand out. And the current VRS is by far the best looking Skoda.

Yawn! more VW,lookalikes circa 1998*

Thanks for your extremely intelligent comment - NOT! Bet you are a whole encyclopaedia of useless carfacts down your local hey.

VW should let Skoda use the Golf R engine for the VRs. 217bhp is a bit poxy by today's hot hatch standards

I love my yeti so I can't wait to see what they have done with a facelift. I just hope I can afford another one in the future.

Skoda excellent build quality matched with excellent value for money, brand of happy people, looking forward to seeing the 6 new models, Skoda never disappoint its owners who buy them.

I'm hoping the Yeti design changes are subtle, I really like the look of the car.
