2009-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Problems with (1) ignition switch (warranty), (2) heated rear window (warranty), (3) emissions control (exhaust pressure sensor) just outside warranty, which cost ł240 but skoda uk refunded ł120 as a goodwill gesture. Ł150 road fund, ł320 comprehensive insurance. 49mpg (diesel). 22,500 miles and has needed only 1 service at 16k (ł220). next service is free at skoda's expense because of the problems with the heated rear window (which was fixed under warranty).

This is the best car I have ever owned and I bought it new with nearly £7000 off the list price. I like everything about it and although everybody says it's a VW, in my view it's better put together than VW. I've owned VWs without a break since 1980. The one disappointment for me is that it doesn't have the facility to play an Ipod through the radio.

09-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

It is exceptional value for money. We have the top of the range it has all the bangs and whistles you could want from cream leather heated seats-frontAND rear-to electronic everything! It's an Audi A6 at about £10k less ( it even has Audi stamped on a lot of parts so they come straight from that overpriced manufacturer!)
Keep it up Skoda!

56-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

It's the best car I have ever owned, I am 64, and have been driviing since the age of 17. It has not got 'tired' in the nearly three years that I have owned it. I'm impressed with the economy for such a large car (nearly 50mpg on a mixed run). The boot size and interior space is on a par with the Tardis. A big hit with all the family.

2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

It is very reliable. starts first time even after standing for a week or two. not even the sightest blip in its first 20000 miles. Apart from road tax, insurance and petrol (up to 40mpg on long fast runs) the only things have been tyres (full set of dunlop's for ł480) and a service at 19000 - ł190.

My husband was involved in a small bump in the snow and we needed a new radiator grille - I could not believe how inexpensive it was for the dealer repair to replace the grille. Tremedous value for money - similar cars in the VW group cannot touch the Skoda for value for money.

09-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

A fabulous car that is so well equipped at the price it is remarkable that more people don't buy this top of the range Skoda. Badge snobs can continue wasting thousands of pounds more on BMW and Mercedes cars that are poorer in quality and finish than the Superb.

09-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

A fantastic luxury saloon/hatchback that beats rivals costing £40k+. It has all the bangs and whistles that much more expensive cars have; it has more legroom than a Bentley and is better finished that Audis, BMWs and Mercs costing at least £10k more.

Cost: 5/5
2009-reg Diesel, Owner for 3 to 5 years

There have been no problems with the cars reliability. Servicing costs have been very good for such a large car. a brim to brim fuel survey over 1500 miles , half well loaded on a motorway gave 43 mpg. very good considering its size and pertformance.

Cost: 5/5
09-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

it is a perfect allrounder confertable roomy economical and a reel plesure to drive. plus its got all the toys. and lets not forget the boot. if you park your car in a garage you dont need to bang the tailgate on the roof just open the boot.

2012-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

Its almost new. I have only driven about 500 miles in it so it has been outstandingly reliable so far. ask me again in 2 years time. Really too early to say, but looking very good indeed, so far. best mileage for a trip. 59.6 mpg!!

06-reg Diesel, Owner for 3 to 5 years

i have had 3 VW Passats previously but my 2.0 tdi Superb elegance has exceeded them in every way. I am selling the Superb and collecting a 6 month old Superb 170 dsg Elegance next week. What more can I say? Superb in every way.

Cost: 5/5
2011-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

Never misses a beat. no squeaks or rattles. nothing gone wrong in almost a year. Fuel consumption is very good for the size of the car - high 40s and mid 50s for mpg. spare parts very competitively priced as is servicing costs.

Cost: 5/5
2012-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

Fantastically well built car nothing has gone wrong and nothing has needed replacing. As I drive long distance every day I spend most of my time on the motorway where I usually achieve over 65mpg and more times than not 72mpg.

Cost: 5/5
09-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

it is a perfect family car .easy to drive. roomy and confatable. lots of toys if you want that sort of thing. and the boot will take 6 siute cases and moor.and as economical as some cars half its size.

Cost: 5/5
53-reg Diesel, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Big economical car with reasonable performance, only car I have owned that someone can comfortably sit behind me (I'm 6'4"). I just wish they'd done an estate as that would have made it even better!

Cost: 5/5
2008-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

Only bought it in august 2012...so far not a hitch. So far only had to put in diesel fuel which of course is about the most expensive in europe...this is a huge car but incredibly economic on fuel.

Cost: 4/5
2008-reg Diesel, Owner for 3 to 5 years

I don't get to see the wonderful dealer very often as the car hardly ever has to pay a visit there! Appears very reasonable compared to other similar size cars from more prestige manufacturers.

Cost: 5/5
2010-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Not a moments worry in 2 years of driving. Other than the 18000 mile service we have recently replaced all four tyres - but I am not complaining about that either at 30,000miles.

Cost: 5/5
2012-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

The car has been fault free and is completely reliable. Fuel economy is good at average 44 mpg (diesel automatic) and will improve as the engine loosens up with more mileage.

Cost: 5/5
2011-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Absolutely rubbish in low revs. prone to cutting out without warning. Finally managed to stop it demanding servicing every 9000 miles. not too bad mpg but nothing special.

Cost: 2/5
2010-reg Diesel

34,000 miles to date, 1 error - with entertainment system, no mechanical issues. Very good on fuel considering the engine size, no spare parts required to date.
