I've had a 2004 RAV and currently drive a 2007 RAV. Styling of the new Yaris, new Auris (never liked the last one) and now this suggests to me Toyota is either genius or utterly devoid of any human creativity; styled by a humanoid for a humanoid. I think I'm driving my last RAV4.
AE - you've done it again! 19 pictures - and none of the load area and the most significant improvement - the rear door !!! We know what the Toyota badge looks like so that's two pictures wasted; we know what from and rear lights look like - that's two more. Surely in a family vehicle the luggage area is worth at least one photo? Whoever puts these items together needs a kick up the ar..
It's much bigger, has a larger boot with a standard boot door and is much more efficient. I like it!
Wel the last ravi was like all the others boring nut reliable mot great on diesel v the germans and the interior"s were very dull too, this as the the previous contributers state is hard to totally judge by the poor pictures and therefore looks awful, front for me is ridiculous as if the computers have gone mad, though interior does look better quality but hardly exciting, not sure what the dashboard is all about on the passenger side iwith that large gap ? Put stuff there at ypur peril? A long way still to go for me,and i have owned a toyota in the stable for 7 years..but it still won't be a ravi .. Which is a shame as i want a 4x4 or crossover at least but not a ravi.
When the Rav4 first came out I always saw it as a radical vehicle creating it's own new segment in the automotive market i.e sporty 4x4s, now they are just bland looking yet somehow overly designed. Could be a Honda CRV looking down the side of it, the rear is awful. They use to look so much more purposeful with the wheel on the back too, but yes ok I guess that's not practical these days
Horrendous, seriously Toyota time to sack the 'designers' or the 2 year old with the crayon. At what point did someone not realize that they were creating an ugly monster. So happy to see the car features that awful back shelf, which resembles something you would buy on a fitness tv shopping channel.
The one redeeming feature of the car is the the back end of car serves to make the front end of the car look less ugly.
This is one Rav4 owner who won't be looking, especially as Toyota's quality and customer response has been lack luster of late.
Whats happened since the 1st RAV came out? It was the bad boy soft roader. Now is a boring mums car and looks like most of the ugly 4x4s these days . No wonder the Range Rover Evoke is doing so well.
Looks like Toyota have employed a designer from South Korea, yuck.
