Overall Average Rating: 85.19%
Position in the Top 100 cars: 55th

It’s Vauxhall’s highest placed car in this year’s survey, although not every owner is satisfied.

In terms of practicality, performance and ease of driving, you told us that the Corsa doesn’t quite hit the mark.

However, 29th for reliability is more encouraging, while 30th in the running costs chart means the baby Vauxhall won’t break the bank.

Manufacturer Verdict (Position: 33rd)

A step in the right direction – but even though Vauxhall has risen a place, 33rd is poor. Owners say their cars aren’t comfortable or easy to drive, don’t have strong brakes and are too unreliable.

Car is fairly stylish and sporty for myself as a 21 year old. Disappointed with ride quality and build quality. Rattles from interior, hard plastics, seats are not the most comfortable. The day after the car was brought discovered the gear linkages were badly worn and had to be replaced, engine light came on and had to have some sensors replaced. Had to have shocks replaced after 2 months aswell. Quite disappointed with the car really, and did not live upto reviews that had been read before purchase. I don't enjoy the car as its left me wondering what will go wrong next. I look forward to the day when the loan is paid on it and i will straight away be changing it for a better built, comfier car which will make me enjoy driving again.

The corsa has been a great car and has not let me down in the two years i have owned it, the running costs are ideal for a young driver like me and i enjoy the overall driving experience that my car delivers. My only problem with the corsa is the ride quality, I have had to replace 2 coil springs in 1 year and have had a few problems with other suspension components, the ride on anything but freshly laid tarmac is very shakey and bumpy. Good value for money too, decent looks, good equipment and enough power to get you around town and keep up on the motorway. Well worth a look if you need a small car with a big personality.

Practical little car for nipping around the city however small engine really suffers when attempting to accelerate. Get it on any sort of hill with even a modicum of luggage/passengers and you notice it's very underpowered. Then again was never really designed for this so can't really complain too much. Very thrifty on consumption. Major complaint however is the paintwork. The car suffers from severe fading necessitating the old colour magic wax at least once every 2 months. How in today's world can Vauxhall have got this so wrong have seen so many others in this red suffer from the same problem.

A great car, current generation model. Build quality has been improved upon greatly, and im shocked at how little road and wind noise I hear while driving the car. Being a 1 litre however, it does occasionally need to be pushed hard if I want to over take or if im in a hurry. Its a 5 door and should have 4/6 speakers (including 2 in the rear) as standard, but only has tweeters and a mid range unit in the front. The speaker grills are present in the rear doors so it would cost them next to nothing to simply put just a pair of speakers in the back. It comes as standard with a CD player too.

It is only a small car but over the past 10 years that I've owned it, other than usual wear and tear of tyres, the most expensive bill I've been faced with has been in the past year and was in relation to the air intake - there were three parts to it and one by one they went and in total it cost £400 to replace the parts. Not bad for a 10 year old car! It has taken me Scotland to Cornwall on many journeys and while it isn't as comfy a ride as the posher models it did me just fine!

An excellent small car, with some larger car attributes. Apart from a styling over practicality blind spot on the rear corners there really isn't that much that could be done to improve the car, in any way that would significantly enhance it's fitness for purpose. It's not an Evo but in today's climate it provides everything I need in terms of the real world, everyday challenges that today's driver's face, with regular occurance. A class act in it's sector.

It is a pocket rocket. It has exceeded my expectations. The amount of stuff it will hold is amazing for its size. It makes me smile when I drive it. It looks good, feels good to drive and is a truly practical car. Some of this may be due to its 1.7 variable turbo engine. Power and economy.

Excellent motorway car (1.7 diesel, six speed box, cruise control) also refined and good around town but not quite as refined as my 6 year old Honda Jazz and nowhere near the interior space or interior practicability.

I have been quite impressed with it.Having to lower the rear seats to increase the luggage space is a chore but acceptable seeing that it is a smaller car than my last car ,which was a Ford Mondeo Verona.

Very practical bottom of the range car, only disapointment is the amount of road noise, compared with my previous Asta of higher spec, but you get what you pay for, so no real complaints.
