I thought car designers were beginning to lose their obsession with huge and hideous headlight clusters. Seems as if it's the van designers' turn. Vile.
I was thinking the same, they not only look huge & hideous, they will probably cost you a small fortune to replace if they end up with a nasty stone chip.
It looks a total mess, if the main goal of the car designer was to put you off buying vans, then the Vauxhall designers have excelled themselves here.
I like New vauxhall Vivaro: full details and pics revealed
Don't blame Vauxhall for the design, it's a rebadged Renault Trafic. There is nothing bold about that it looks hideous. A lot of the design is led by the need for ease of manufacturing and cost ( the rear lights and front end) so how did they come up with one of the most complicated door handles on the rear door?! This makes the current van look good and a 1.6 litre engine. The Transit Custom has a 2.2.
They must of been down the pub when they put this together. They must of been laughing so hard ! Probs not so funny when they can't give them away . think I'll buy a transit custom ...much nicer looking van
big let down. same rear end (a few bad tweaks though) looks like its a bodge job and the old one was so nice. will go ford transit custom, now wish i had not waited, renault f-bumper is better but its french lol
Looks like the old Vivaro and a Transit Custom had a baby. Doesn't look all that offensive really and I'm sure it'll be as popular as the outgoing model.
The new Transit custom seems like a rip off of the old Vivaro to me. Check out the reviews of the Ford and every single one reads like marketing blurb. "ground breaking" "car like comfort" almost like the Vivaro had never existed. As an owner of the Vivaro from new I was disappointed I wasn't surveyed like Citroen do with their owners. I'm hoping the new version has some improvements on economy, slightly better cabin noise, more clever storage options and multiple USB ports for powering gadgets directly.
