On sale next January is the Lexus flagship, the LS460

There’s no stopping Lexus! The firm that once copied its German rivals is now heading out on its own, and on sale next January is this – its all-new flagship, the LS460. Behind the conservative lines lies a host of new technology, from a collision warning system that can even brake for the driver in an accident, to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Under the bonnet lies a new whisper-quiet 380bhp 4.6-litre V8 engine while air suspension makes for an incredibly smooth ride. Inside there’s an amazing amount of space, especially in the rear, with electrical goodies such as a 10-speaker Mark Levinson stereo and touch-screen satellite navigation as standard.
