Matt Neal has a disastrous weekend and Plato closes the gap as the championship goes to the wire

Matt Neal leads Jason Plato by 35 points with 52 points still up for grabs. Plato revived his title hopes with two wins and a third place at the penultimate meeting of the season.

“We’ll go to Silverstone full of confidence,” said the SEAT star. “It will be interesting now Matt’s under pressure.” Mean­while, Vauxhall has confirmed it will take part in the 2007 series.
