The Blue Oval is preparing the ultimate sign-off for the current Focus. The firm has set up a website counting down to the unveil of the new car next Wednesday. Details are scarce, as all the website shows is a video of the new car shot at night at the firm's Lommel proving ground in Belgium.

However, a Ford insider has told Auto Express that the special RS will feature a 350bhp version of the 2.5-litre turbo engine upgraded by tuner Mountune. The car will be a limited edition model, just as the original Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 of the 1980s was, and comes in matte black with black wheels, and features contrasting red brake calipers.
