With underpinnings from the RS5, the Audi Quattro Coupe Concept uses a modified 402bhp version of the 2.5-litre five cylinder engine found in the TTRS. By dramitcally shortening the wheelbase and with lower, lighter bodywork made entirely from carbon fibre and aluminium, the Quatrro Coupe is highly reminiscent of the original Audi Quattro shown at the 1980 Geneva Motor Show.
The result of an in house design competition to revive the 30 year old quattro's spirit, ex Alfa design boss Wolfgang Egger was responsible for the winning concept, shown at the 2010 Paris Motorshow.
A pure two seater, weight has been kept to just 1300kg indicating the ability to produce performance figures that would put both TTRS and RS5 to shame.
Audi have no immediate plans to build the Quattro Coupe Concept but have said that if there is sufficient customer interest in the project it wouldn't be difficult to put into production.
