By Mike Askew March 2006 Volvo surprised the show by pulling the wraps off its new S80 luxury saloon. A key rival to the BMW 5-Series and Audi A6, the new Swede is smoother than the outgoing car, but is instantly recognisable thanks to its broad shoulders and trademark grille. The interior features the same 'floating panel' centre console that made its debut in the S40.
