Spied testing in southern Spain, our video of the new Smart ForTwo Cabriolet proves designers have the car have chosen an evolutionary, rather than revolutionary path for the newcomer. However, key changes are expected.
While the wheelbase remains similar to the current machine, the nose has been lengthened to make room for larger crumple zones. There are also fresh headlamps and a new grille. The upright door handles have been swapped for conventional items, while the mirrors are new as well.
At the rear, buyers can expect revised lights and a reprofiled bumper line. The ForTwo will make its debut in 2007.
