Taking into consideration that Peugeot has the 1007 already, we gather Citroen is the better bet! Designed in the style of the Fiat Doblo and Citroen Berlingo, both cars are currently developed alongside each other, though we have only filmed the Citroen as one part of a huge PSA-group during hot-weather testing in Spain.
According to rumours we heard from a supplier company, the two cars are to be positioned somewhere at the bottom ends of the passenger car ranges of the two manufacturers rather than in the commercial car departments. That in mind, we gather they’re pointing at young buyers with need for space and variability but small cash available – and hence potential buyers of the new Dacia Logan Estate which is likely to be the main rival of this new model.
