Like the recently introduced Cadillac CTS sedan, the future SRX sport-utility/sports-sedan Cross-over gets tested on the famous German Nürburgring racetrack - where our spies managed to get this footage. "S" is for the series, "R" for reconfigurable and "X" for crossover. It was first shown as the Vizón concept, then as a rendering only when the name SRX name was made official. Comparing both, the CTS and the future CRX, they appear to look very similar at the front where both cars feature a very edgy layout of grille and headlight units. In fact there's more both cars will share: both will be basing on GM's Sigma platform.
The new Cross-over will be offered with rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive, powered by a range of V6 and V8 engines. The SRX will be introduced in the market in late 2003; Europe and Japan will see the car in 2004.
