We drive the new BMW M5 – is it worthy of its legendary badge?
Ever since BMW announced its new M5 would be turbocharged, the world has been questioning whether this would ruin the car’s character. Our resident racing driver Owen Mildenhall took to the Ascari racing circuit in Spain to find out.
With a 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 delivering 553hp and 680nM of torque, the new M5 can do 0-62mph in just 4.4 seconds. What's more impressive is that 0-124mph takes only 13 seconds. But do these stats translate to a thrilling driving experience? Owen gives his verdict of the new BMW M5 over this cracking footage of the car at Ascari.
