What a mess.... VW must be so embarrassed about the rear of this car, that they have made sure that all photo shots are shown without a view of the roof when it's down, the one with the model standing beside it at the rear, is a dead give away, Why not construct something similar to the Porsche 911 frabric roof(in the way it folds completely away)... This attempt is hideous, they obviously decided to take the cheaper option.

The side profile reminds me of one of those nasty PT Cruiser things from a few years back. The previous Beetle convertible looked much better.

It is interesting that almost every photo has been angled to hide the folded roof. The photo with models have them standing right in front of it. Even the photo down the right flank has been taken from floor level so that the hump is hidden behind the door mirror.

What a mess....
