As with its costlier brother, this Magellan looked dated here, largely due to the large number of buttons. It's competitively priced, though, and we liked the speech confirmation of commands and entries. The touch-screen worked well, too, and directions and close-up junction displays were also good. But it was slow to locate satellites and load maps, while the lack of an internal battery is a pain
