THE simplest design on test, this lightweight tubular carrier ratchets easily to the required angle and tethers at the tailgate top and under the car. Plastic grips on the bike bar locate the cycles, but we found the lack of built-in straps made them hard to secure properly. Perhaps best for short journeys, but its price for only
two bikes puts it out of contention here.
