Tool specialist Sealey’s take on the analogue depth gauge has a hexagonal centre, which allows both Imperial and metric scales to be squeezed on – only the latter is relevant for UK drivers. As a result, it’s a little more difficult to read, although the white background helps. As there is no 1.6mm mark, measuring the legal limit accurately is difficult.
