Upholstery cleaner

Beating the battle of grime inside your car will take the best products available. We name them.

Many of us only notice filthy seats and carpets once they have been cleaned as it is the sort grime that builds up slowly. Fabric is also prone to staining, so our upholstery favourite had to tackle grease, chocolate and ink, as well as shift that ground-in grime.

Comma Interior Cleaner

Price: £3.99
When it comes to cleaning car interiors Comma has the answer as our trim title holder is also our fabric favourite too. It easily dealt with our self-inflicted marks and stains and made good progress on the general grime. Add in a big pack at a cracking price and you have a great all-rounder.

Astonish Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner
Contact: 0113 236 0036 www.astonishcleaners.com
Price: 99p
Test debutant Astonish has taken Comma on at its own game here with a big 750ml pack at under a pound. But this cleaner is not just about the price as the loose foam works well too especially when it came to shifting ink from our test seat. Effective although perfume may not suit all.

Armor All Multi-Purpose Foaming Cleaner
Contact: 0845 6021995 www.armorall.eu/uk/
Price: £5.99
If you prefer a foam to tackle carpets and seats then look no further than Armor All’s long running Multi-Purpose aerosol. The tight foam soaks in rapidly and proved especially effective when removing general grime and ink. Current 20 per cent free offer helps offset the slightly higher price.
