Toyota Auris
Overall Average Rating - 83.9%
Position in the Top 100 cars - 74th
The Corolla replacement makes its Driver Power debut in 2009 – and finishes much lower than the car it succeeded.
The hatchback has been criticised for its lack of pace and dull driving dynamics, but it’s not performing too well elsewhere.
As a new car, the Auris has to meet higher expectations than a used Corolla – and it’s not measuring up across the board.

Manufacturer Verdict (Position - 13th)
Last year, Toyota was in seventh, but a poor debut for the Auris sees it plummet. While 13th is still above average, bosses will want a positive reaction to the new Avensis, iQ and Urban Cruiser in 2010.
