New Honda e Limited Edition starts from £38,120

The retro-styled Honda e gains Limited Edition variant with exterior tweaks

The new ‘Limited Edition’ version of the Honda e electric supermini has arrived and it’ll live up to its name with just 50 examples set to come to Europe. Honda has kept the styling modifications to a minimum with black badges all round,  Premium Crystal Red paint and a unique design of 17-inch black alloys.

The new version is based on the Advance model, so it’s equipped with the larger 3.5kWh battery and 152bhp motor. This should mean the Limited Edition offers a 0-62mph time of 8.3 seconds and a 90mph top speed.

Maximum range for the Limited Edition should sit at 131 miles and charging from a rapid charger will take it from zero to 80% in 30 minutes - a 7.4kW home wallbox takes slightly over five hours.

Pull on the flush-fitting door handles and inside we see the same classy and well-equipped interior as in the regular Honda e, with an 8.8-inch TFT panel in front of the driver and two 12.3-inch touchscreens in charge of the infotainment. The use of digital wing mirrors means there are two additional display screens showing what’s behind you.

Honda enlisted current Formula One World Champion Max Verstappen to drive the new Limited Edition Honda e in Dozza, Italy ahead of his win at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix back in April.

“The Honda e Limited Edition is simply lovely. It has funky looks, a compact design and is fun to drive. It’s a great electric urban vehicle”, said Verstappen.

The Honda e Limited Edition is available to order now and pricing starts from £38,120, which is a £6,855 increase over the Advance model.
