Mazda 2 Black Edition and White Edition run-out models revealed

Final run of existing Mazda 2 models add more kit and better value for money

The new Mazda 2 is just around the corner – in fact, we’ve already driven the revised supermini ahead of its UK on sale date in March this year. However, that hasn’t stopped the Japanese manufacturer pushing out one last special edition of its current small hatchback in the form of these latest Black and White edition cars.

Both the Mazda 2 Black Edition and Mazda 2 White Edition are on sale now, priced from £12,145. Buyers get a choice of Jet Black Mica or Crystal White Pearlescent paint, while standard equipment includes a rear spoiler, heated folding door mirrors and rear privacy glass.

A faux-diffuser style rear bumper, 15-inch dark grey alloy wheels and unique badging are also standard, and all customers will get the option of colour-coded bonnet and roof stripes at no extra cost.

Inside, there’s loads of body-coloured trim, as well as black cloth upholstery with red piping. Standard kit includes air-con, USB and MP3 player connectivity and Bluetooth hands-free calling. It’s worth noting that the Bluetooth needs to be selected from the options list – despite it being another no-cost extra.

Peter Albion, Mazda UK sales director, said: “The Mazda2 Black Edition and White Edition represent a last chance for our customers to get their hands on a unique version of the current 5-door Mazda2. As with every Mazda special edition model, they combine bespoke exterior and interior styling with a lavish standard equipment specification, offering customers stand-out individuality and outstanding value for money.”

All cars come with the 74bhp 1.3-litre petrol engine from the outgoing Mazda 2, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Dynamic stability control and traction control are included on all models.

All Mazda 2 Black and White Editions are on sale now, priced at £12,145. They are available with no deposit and zero per cent APR on Mazda’s PCP scheme. What’s more, all models now come with a £750 Mazda deposit contribution.
