Ring’s new RIL3600HP mixes brilliant light output with great versatility. It has a wider, smoother, more even beam than our previous winner, the RIL4000, despite quoting a 250-lumen output to the RIL4000’s 470. One explanation is that the light is closely matched to daylight, so it’s easier for the eyes to process. Positioning the lamp couldn’t be easier with strong magnets in the base and rear, and a flip-out hook. Plus, the joint between that magnetic base and light swivels full circle laterally and 180 degrees front to back.
