Porsche 911 ST gets all-electric power from Everrati

Everrati’s latest EV creation has 440bhp to go with its classic looks

Everrati, one of the leading firms when it comes to converting classic cars to electric power, has revealed a new car inspired by the iconic 911 ST.

Due to trademark laws, Everrati does not call its new car a Porsche 911 ST, although from the outside it’s almost identical to the original car. That’s because Everrati takes a restored ‘G-Series’ 911 base to create its ST.

Although the 911 G-Series models were made from 1973 to 1989 (the longest production run of any 911), the 911 ST was actually produced between 1970 and 1971. As a lightweight, racing version of the 911, the rare ST model is hugely soughtafter and expensive these days, so unsurprisingly Everrati refrains from carving up original STs to create it's new EV homage.

As in other Everrati models, there’s a 62kW battery pack with electric motors sending power to the rear through a limited slip differential. There’s 440bhp available - enough for a 0-60mph time of under four seconds. Everrati has also partnered with US-based Porsche specialist RS Werks to make sure cosmetic details and weight distribution are as close to the original 911 ST as possible.

There are plenty of options to specify with this Everrati, including electronically controlled adaptive suspension to switch between ‘driving dynamics, comfort and performance’. A few creature comforts can be added to modernise the interior, such as air conditioning, power steering and Apple CarPlay

The 911 ST recreation isn’t the first Porsche Everrati to be electrified. The Oxfordshire company has made electric versions of the 964-generation 911 in Targa, Coupe and Cabriolet form as well.
