Car security on a plate

Number plate theft is on the up, with the amount of congestion charging areas expanding, speed cameras on the increase and fuel thefts from forecourts rising

12th June 2007

Aftermarket specialist Richbrook has come up with a neat solution to thwart the crooks, with its anti-theft number plate bolts kit. The device features a special sleeve that makes the bolts a permanent fixture on your car, unless you use the hex wrench that is supplied in the packet to remove them.

Any attempt to take them off using other tools will simply make the bolts spin without loosening their grip, according to the manufacturer.

Each box contains two yellow, two silver and two black bolts to match your number plate colour, and there is also a locking key to make sure that they are securely fastened.

Richbrook anti-theft number plates, price: £5.95, buy from: 01328 862387, www.richbrook.co.uk
