Not many new models at this year’s Detroit show remained under wraps for as long as Cadillac’s sharp looking CTS Coupe.

These pictures show the new model on the show stand where it proved a big hit as one of the last newcomers to be unveiled on the second press preview day. As you can see, designers have focused on giving the CTS saloon’s styling a more aggressive edge with sharp lines and an angular finish.

While bosses have stopped short of confirming that the new Coupe will become a production reality, it is likely that the upmarket three-door will go into production before the end of the decade.

Meanwhile, Cadillac also revealed another concept called the Provaq. This compact SUV hints at a future rival to Land Rover’s Freelander, while the BMW M5 chasing CTS V was another star attraction.
